Frequently Asked Questions

How long is treatment?

Length of therapy varies greatly. You will take assessments throughout therapy to determine whether we stop treatment.

How often do I come?

I typically see clients once a week. Clients also have my cell phone and email and can contact me outside of session to get help.

Do you see kids or teenagers?

Yes, I see teenagers age 13 and older.

What are your fees?

The fee for the first appointment (90 minutes) is $280. Subsequent appointments (50 minutes) are $200.

Will you collaborate with my other therapist, psychiatrist, etc.?

Yes, I will happily collaborate with your other providers to ensure you are receiving the best possible care.

Do you offer phone or video sessions?

Yes. I am currently offering a mix of telehealth video sessions, and in-person sessions. You can read more about that at Telehealth

Can I use my benefit from my Employee Assistance Program?

I am a registered clinician with the Lyra Employee Assistance Program. If your company offers Lyra benefits, you may be able to have a certain number of sessions paid for through the program. Number of sessions range between 8-15.

Do you take insurance?

I am not in-network with any insurance companies. You are responsible for paying your full session fee at the time of service. If you decide to submit claims to your insurance company for reimbursement for any out-of-network benefits you might have, you may do so and I'll provide you with a superbill after each session for this purpose.

If I check with my insurance company to see if they'll reimburse for sessions, what do I need to know?

You'll need to know the specific procedure code we would use for the particular session.

  • In-Person Session Procedure Codes

    • 90834 for a 50 minute in-person session

    • 90791 for the initial 90 minute psychiatric diagnostic evaluation which only applies to the first in-person session with new patients

  • Video Session Procedure Codes

    • 90834 (95) for a 50 minute video session

    • 90791 (95) for the initial 90 minute psychiatric diagnostic evaluation which only applies to the first video session with new patients

  • Phone Session Procedure Code

    • 90899 regardless of session length, so this same code applies for 50 minutes for return patients or 90 minutes for new patients

It's a good idea to also ask about your deductible since this might need to be met before you get any reimbursement for session fees.

What are your hours?

I am currently seeing patients in the Maple Valley Office on Monday from 3:00pm-9:00pm, Tuesday from 3:00pm-9:00pm. I am seeing clients at the Bellevue Office on Thursdays.
